The Edo State Ministry of Physical Planning, Housing, Urban and Regional Development is the state government’s ministry, charged with the responsibility to plan, devise and implement the state policies on Physical Planning, Urban and Regional Development.es.
The Ministry of Physical Planning, Housing, Urban and Regional Development had been carrying out a development enforcement exercise tagged Operation Show Your Building Plan (OSYBP) since February 2022. It was aimed at identifying and rectifying indiscriminate property development in the State and collating data necessary for the development of the Benin City and Edo State Regional Masterplans. As part of our findings at the conclusion of the pilot phase in Amagba and Ogheghe, it was discovered that the community lacked critical government infrastructure, and this prompted Mr Governor’s decision to expand the scope of the exercise to include our sister MDAs to identify and deliver these projects.
